Design Concept:

The decorative patterns on the stem are inspired by the taotie (gluttonous ogre) and kui dragon mythical creature motifs found on Shang dynasty (1600–1046 BCE) bronze ritual vessels. These mysterious designs symbolize nobility and royal power. 

The bowl is notably full and rounded, embodying the boldness of Eastern drinking culture. With a thickness of approximately 0.05 to 0.06 inches (average thickness is 0.03 to 0.04 inches), thicker glass produces a deeper, longer-lasting clinking sound, which can add to the celebratory experience. This enhanced resonance makes each toast feel richer and musical, contributing to the ambiance of a gathering.

The ascending stem is composed of four parts: the kui dragon motif, taotie motif, chrysanthemum orb, and round plate, making a total of five components with the bowl. Imagine this—the handmade assembly requires each of the ten surfaces to be perfectly level, a task demanding the steady hand and expertise of a skilled senior craftsman.
