Design Concept: The thin and curling edges of lotus leaves appear green or turquoise. Under the illumination of light, they create a shimmering effect, unique to glass and light. The carved edges of the lotus leaves are distinctly visible, reflecting light through their undulating surfaces and varying thicknesses. The lotus flowers, layered and yet to fully bloom, symbolize a delicate and understated expression of love. A pair of mandarin ducks, inseparable companions, swim together. Mandala lotus flowers are treasures among lotuses, with a single stem bearing two blossoms, symbolizing unity, shared blessings, and mutual happiness in life. Mandarin ducks, paired for life, symbolize faithful love. This artwork employs delicate techniques of color placement and second firing in pate de verre, meticulously controlling the temperature changes to reveal the rich feather colors and beak details of the mandarin ducks, presenting a piece with intricate layers of color. |
