Design Concept:

This fortune-bearing symbol from the ancient stories of Gautama Buddha’s “Ashtamangala,” (“eight offerings”) is the “White Conch” that represents enlightenment in the form of melodious and harmonious sound. It is described as the beautifully whole and interpenetrating sound of Dharma that awakens those in the slumber of ignorance and suffering to see the light and mindfulness of Dharma. The sound transcends mere tranquility to embody a sense of mindfulness and awareness. The glasswork interpretation here depicts that wholesome spirit through painstaking craftsmanship, shown in the low-relief of radiating golden amber light.
