The Collection: Eight Auspicious Offerings ( 八吉祥 ) Design Concept: This artistic rendition of a vase symbol comes from the “Ashtamangala”—or “The Eight Fortunes.” The artwork here is among eight others in the LIULI mini-series “Eight Auspicious Offerings” that alludes to ancient literature endemic to Buddhism as well as Jainism and Hinduism. The vase itself incorporates message of infinite lessons and teachings in life and represents the luck of longevity, wealth, health, and wisdom. In LIULI’s glasswork interpretation, the art piece radiates an illuminating aura of golden amber, carved in exquisite details of low relief. |
