HARMONY

The combination of glass and wood creates a delightful and multi-layered visual imagery. The overlapping double circles create a sense of harmony. The glass table legs are designed with solid and abundant gourd, grape, and pumpkin reliefs, conveying a rich and vibrant symbolism. All harvests require sufficient time for nurturing.

CYCLE

A vibrant color theme fills with blooming flowers and fruits about to burst forth; discovering the rhythm of life is like the rich natural scenery during the changing of seasons. The perpetual rhythm, with the curving lines of pumpkins flowing in layers, presents a sense of movement.

ARCH

The table's shape mimics an arch, with legs that gracefully taper from wide to narrow, creating a dynamic sense of movement. The minimalist lines enhance the glass's light and fluid transparency. The table legs evoke flowing water, cascading downward, while the arch symbolizes a passage through life. The colors transform into the steps of time, leaving a gentle echo in the tranquility.

ARTIST LORETTA H. YANG'S CREATION

In 1987, LIULI established a castle-like glass studio by the sea in Taipei. Despite early challenges in mastering the production process, the ocean's vastness provided daily inspiration and energy. Over 30 years, LIULI has innovated its processes, adopting 3D printing to reduce material use, recycling wax, and minimizing glass waste. The "One Thought, One Universe" collection embodies our motto, "To Forever Create Art for the Good of the Heart," exemplified by Loretta H. Yang's piece, Listen to the Song of the Earth.

LIULI Founder Artist

Loretta H. Yang

The artist views the sustainability as a message for the next generation of business leaders and the many generations to come. She believes that sustainability is not only a responsibility but a legacy—one that future leaders must embrace to create meaningful change. Through the upcycling of residual glass, Loretta emphasizes the importance of reimagining resources, blending traditional artistry with modern eco-conscious practices.

EARTH

Inspired by the Earth, the design is constructed upward from the core, producing different landscapes with the changes in light. The tunnel in the table body acts like the 'antipodes'—a point that, starting from any location on Earth towards the center, emerges on the opposite side. From the outside to the inside, from surface to core, this representation of the Earth symbolizes the spirit of free exploration and adventure.

ROBOT

The handcrafted texture and playful charm of the Chinese character "亮" (brightness) stem from its robot-like shape, symbolizing light and energy. Designed to radiate warmth and accompany users daily, its whimsical name exudes a cartoon-like delight: "It shines because it has energy!"

Inspirations

Sustainability has become a global mission for all the inhabitants of our planet, and LIULI is actively joining the effort. Guided by our commitment to uplifting humanity, we are taking meaningful actions to materialize this commitment. LIULI launched its ESG initiative three years ago, led by artist Loretta H. Yang. Under her guidance, the team began reusing casting remnants from glasswork production and established eco-friendly processes that streamline production, aiming to achieve both waste reduction and carbon emission reduction in the process.

Our carbon reduction achievements for the ESG coffee tables include: (1) Reducing production steps to lower energy consumption. (2) Using upcycled glass materials. Through glass art pieces that embody Eastern aesthetics, we express our respect for nature and the ideal of harmony between humanity and the natural world. This process eliminated production steps in total, achieving a carbon reduction of approximately 9.8 pounds of CO₂ per pound of glass. The Artist piece, "Earth," alone reduced carbon emissions by up to 752 pounds of CO₂e through upcycling—equivalent to the annual carbon sequestration of two camphor trees with a 19-inch diameter and 36-foot height. In the field of complex glass artistry, where carbon reduction is notoriously challenging, this accomplishment stands as a meaningful milestone.
